Henry S. Popowski, Jr, 70, of Florida, cherished father of three, beloved husband, and son of the late Henry Popowski, Sr, and Nellie Popowski, died December 31, after a long battle with cancer. Born on September 19, 1945, he grew up in Connecticut.

His wife Susan of Wellington, Fla.; his children and their spouses, Alan and Christina Popowski of Newtown, Brian and Heather Popowski of Wellington, and Cristina and Frank Griffin of Philadelphia; and two granddaughters, Ava and Samantha Popowski, survive Mr Popowski.

He graduated from Manhattan College.

Mr Popowski used his intellect, charisma, and dedicated work ethic to become a successful business executive in the manufacturing industry before retiring in 2001. In retirement, he moved to Wellington, and kept busy, picking up real estate, participating in the neighborhood association, and spending time with his family.

There was nothing more important to Mr Popowski than his family. He treasured his wife of 46 years and their children, and was incredibly proud of everything that they accomplished. He will be remembered as a kind and giving man with a big heart, who would do anything to help his family and friends.

There will be a private service for him at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery in Royal Palm Beach, Fla.

In lieu of flowers, the Popowski family requests that donations be made in his name to the American Cancer Society, at www.cancer.org.
