Margaret Ann “Peg” Le Blanc, 73, of Brookfield died peacefully in Newton, Mass., January 11, after a long battle with dementia. She was the widow of the late Gerard W. Le Blanc. She was born in Queens, N.Y., June 24, 1942, to Frances (McCarthy) and Joseph Kavanagh.

Her devoted family, son Robert Le Blanc and his wife Jill of Newtown; daughters Kerry Le Blanc Strong and her husband Jeffrey of New York City and Clare Landrigan and her husband Christopher of Newton, Mass.; grandchildren Kevin, Brian, Nicholas, Catharine, Timothy, Jack, Ryan and Megan; as well as her brother Edward of Queens, survive Ms Le Blanc.

She graduated from Bishop McDonnell High School in Brooklyn. She made her home in Connecticut for more than 40 years, living in both Danbury and Brookfield, where she raised her family with her husband, Jerry.

She worked briefly as a secretary after high school and, in later years, as a childcare manager. Her happiest roles, however, were as wife and mother to her husband and children, who will miss her every day. A deeply religious woman, Ms Le Blanc enjoyed attending Mass, taking long walks, spending time with her grandchildren, and had enjoyed traveling with her husband.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am, Saturday, January 16, at St Peter Church, Danbury, with the Reverend Jeff Couture officiating.  Interment will follow in St Peter Cemetery, Danbury. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association, PO Box 96011, Washington DC 20090 or at http://act.alz.org/goto/margaretpegleblanc.
