Journal Writing Workshop In Woodbury

WOODBURY — Molly Tate will offer a four-week journal writing workshop at Woodbury Public Library on Sunday afternoons beginning February 4.

Participants will concentrate on the idea that writing is a valuable response to exposure, recognition, documentation, reflection and resolution.

Writers will explore writing tools, create a book, and appreciate writing as a process that is creative, expressive, therapeutic and fun. Writing privately in a group allows the writer the benefits of the team experience and protecting the individual experience while supporting and celebrating the one voice among many.

Molly Tate has facilitated writing workshops for many years at Woodbury Library as well as privately. Her background includes study of writing during college and journal writing in many workshops including with Ira Progoff’s intensive journal process. She began writing in the 1980s and since then has promoted the journal as a major vehicle for effective writing.

The workshop will meet each Sunday through February 25 from 1:30 to 3 pm. Cost is $75. For further information or to register, contact Woodbury Public Library at 203/236-2502. The library is at 269 Main Street South (Route 6).
