Occupation: I go to school at Ricci’s Toni and Guy Academy in pursuit to get my cosmetology license and I work at the Edmond Town Hall.

Family: I live with my mom, dad, younger sister Annie, and younger brother Luke. I also have an older brother, Jack.

Pets: I have two dogs, three cats, and two lizards, a leopard gecko named Socks, and a bearded dragon named Sandals.

How long have you lived in Newtown? I’ve lived in Newtown for 11 years! Originally born in California, I moved here from LA when I was nine years old.

What do you like to do in your free time? I’m an artist, so in my free time I love to paint, draw, collage, and in the wintertime, I knit! I also enjoy spending time with my friends.

What is your favorite book? My favorite book is Catcher in the Rye. I’ve probably read it a million times by now.

What is your favorite travel destination? I love Block Island. My dream is to one day own a summer home there. The beaches are beautiful.

What is the best part about Newtown? The best part about Newtown is the Edmond Town Hall. It’s such a historic and important part of our town, and it’s where I’ve met my best friends, my amazing coworkers.

What organizations are you part of in Newtown? I’ve worked at the Edmond Town Hall for over four years now. I work in the office as the Staff Leader. I do everything from researching movies and helping run social media to working projection and selling tickets!

Who has been the greatest influence on your life? The greatest influence on my life has been my high school graphics teacher, Maria Ruscitti. She’s incredibly smart and kind and created a safe and creative place for me at school and constantly encouraged me to make art.

If you could spend the day with one person, who would you choose and why? I would love to spend the day with my best friend, Jake. We’ve been friends for eight years, but don’t get to see each other often because of our school schedules. It would be great to spend a day cooking and watching movies with him.

Who is your favorite musical artist? I have a few favorite music artists. I would say my top three are Post Malone, Arctic Monkeys, and Glass Animals.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? The greatest piece of advice I have ever been given was “If you don’t laugh, you cry.” Sometimes you need to take a step back from small things that are overwhelming you and laugh them off. Chances are the small problems won’t matter in a few days, so what’s the use in getting upset?

What is something you can’t live without? I can’t live without art. Having the ability to create is such a beautiful outlet and makes up so much of who I am as a person. Above all things I am an artist, and I don’t know where I’d be without that talent.

What is your proudest accomplishment? My proudest accomplishment has been enrolling in cosmetology school. I want to specialize as a vivids artist and can’t wait to become a licensed hairdresser!
