Concordia Chorale Seeks New Members
NEW MILFORD â Like to sing? The CT Conservatory of the Performing Arts is inviting any local interested singers to participate in its Concordia Chorale, a non-audition, intergenerational chorus.
Upcoming performances will feature pieces old and new by composers as diverse as Rutter, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Bruckner, Copland, etc, including Laus Dea by John Leavitt, Cantique de Jean Racine, Op. 11 by Faure, Ave verum corpus by Mozart, Verleighâ uns Freiden  by Mendelssohn, and Locus Iste, by Bruckner, as well as modern compositions based on traditional spirituals.
Weekly rehearsals are Sundays from 6 to 8 pm, beginning January 21. The chorus is directed by Sean Burton, who is also currently director of music at Weston High School. The spring performance will be the evening of May 5, at St Johnâs Episcopal Church.
