Early Childhood Conferences
Early Childhood Conferences
Early childhood educators need to mark their calendars for the 31st Annual Early Childhood Conferences to be held on Wednesday, April 25, at Middle Gate School from 4 to 8 pm.
âGrowing Together 2001â is for educators, administrators, students, and parents from Region 5 of the Connecticut Early Childhood Education Council. The region includes Newtown, Brookfield, New Fairfield, Sherman, New Milford, Bridgewater, Roxbury, Bethlehem, Woodbury, Middlebury, Southbury, and Oxford.
Participants will take part in workshops addressing issues affecting children from birth to age nine, according to co-chairman Judy Gallo, principal of Middle Gate School. Dinner will also be provided at the school.
âWe will share our professional development techniques with our peers,â Mrs Gallo said. âWe will have a host of workshops.â
Conferences will be held all over the state in April for 4,000 participants each year. The conferences help to facilitate professional growth and better communication among all early childhood programs within a community.
The Middle Gate Conference is also looking for educational vendors to come and offer educational materials for participants of the conference.
The cost of the conference is $25 and anyone wishing more information may call Middle Gate School at 203/426-7662.
