Hedwig M.    (Wozniak) Ratyna

Hedwig M. (Wozniak) Ratyna, of Andover, Mass., died on January 13 at Lawrence General Hospital.

She is survived by a son, Joseph Ratyna, and his wife, Sally, of Newtown.

She was born in Lowell, Mass., on November 30, 1910. She retired from Tyre Rubber Company in Andover in 1965. She was a member of St Augustine Church.

She was the widow of Anthony Ratyna, who was an accomplished musician in Merrimack Valley and played for The Boston Pops.

She is also survived by a daughter, Frances McNamara and her husband, Leo, of West Hills, Calif.; another son, Edward Ratyna and his wife, Susan, of Andover, Mass.; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Frank Wozniak of Dracut, Mass., and Ben Wozniak of Florida; and several nieces and nephews.

A funeral mass was held on January 16 at St Augustine Church in Andover. Burial was in Holy Trinity Cemetery in Lowell, Mass.

Arrangements were made by Burke Funeral Home, 390 North Main Street, Andover, Mass.
