Thomas C.  Chadwick
Thomas Charles Chadwick, 83, of Monroe, beloved husband of Maryann Fortin Jawoisz Chadwick, died January 11 in Bridgeport Hospital after a brief illness.
He was the father of Christine (Jawoisz) Wheway and her husband, John Thomas, of Sandy Hook.
Born in Bridgeport, he had lived in Milford, Stratford, and Trumbull. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II, serving in the Southwest Pacific. A graduate of Bentley College and the University of Bridgeport, he was an active member of the Christ Episcopal Church in Stratford, and for 50 years a member of the Stratford Masons, holding the rank of past high priest. He worked for the General Electric Company, Fawcett Publications, and CBS Publications.
He is predeceased by his wife, Emma (Schell) Chadwick, and brother, Francis.
He is also the father of Edith (Chadwick) Blackney, and her husband, Skip, and Amy (Jawoisz) Tusch and her husband, Erich. He was also the grandfather of four, Thomas and Anne Blackney, and Sarah and Erich Tusch. He is also survived by his sister, Ann Carmichael; two brothers, Herbert and P. Arthur Chadwick; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services took place on January 15 in St Peter Episcopal Church in Monroe. Interment followed in Lawncroft Cemetery in Fairfield.

The Lesko-Miner Funeral Home, 155 Main Street, Route 25, in Monroe, was in charge of arrangements.
