January Programs At Audubon Center

SOUTHBURY — Bent of the River Audubon Center has announced two programs that are open to the public this month. Participants should meet in the center’s parking area, on East Flat Hill Road in the South Britain section of Southbury (off Route 172).

On Wednesday, January 24, join staff members for “Winter Tracking.” Participants will, beginning at 9 am, look for animal tracks in the fields and woods of the center’s grounds.

On Wednesday, January 31, the center will host a bird walk. Participants will look for wintering birds while walking the trails of the center. They will also learn about which birds spend their winter in the area but might not be spotted that morning.

Beginning and experienced bird watchers are welcome. This program also begins at 9 am.
