Quit Smoking With Freshstart
Quit Smoking With Freshstart
NEW MILFORD â It is a fact: smoking increases the likelihood of developing heart disease, emphysema, and lung and other cancers, and quitting, no matter how long you have been smoking, decreases the risk of these smoking-related diseases.
On Tuesday, January 22 from 6:30 to 7:30 pm, the New Milford Hospital Respiratory Therapy Department begins the next American Cancer Society Freshstart quit smoking program. Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for a two-week period.
Freshstart is the American Cancer Societyâs quit smoking program, and all of the methods and activities contain the most effective elements for success.
Freshstart can be a start to a new life without cigarettes. This program is designed to help individuals stop smoking, and emphasizes that smoking cessation is a two-part process: stopping, and remaining smoke-free.
The cost for the program is $25 per participant with a $5 refund for each class attended.
Registration is open to the public. Preregistration is requested by calling 800-350-1595 or online at www.newmilfordhospital.org.
