Adaptive Snow Ski Event To Benefit Veterans

PLANTSVILLE, Conn.— LOF Adaptive Skiers will host a day of skiing for veterans at Mount Southington, 396 Mt Vernon Road, in Plantsville, Conn., Wednesday, January 22, from 10 am to 3 pm. This event is supported by a grant received from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and in collaboration with Southern Connecticut State University and Mount Southington.

LOF Adaptive Skiers and volunteers focus on inclusion, opportunity, and experiences by providing adaptive ski and veteran events that promote physical and emotional empowerment, fun, exposure to new experiences, positive recreational experiences, new friendships and supports, and improved athletic abilities.

LOF Adaptive Skiers is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Its mission is to build lasting confidence and fulfillment through exposure and professional training in recreational and competitive water and snow skiing to children, adults, and veterans with disabilities.
