Carney L. Freddino III, 69, of Florida, died December 19. He was the son of Minnie and the late Carney L. Freddino, Jr, of Bridgeport.

He was husband of Kathleen Y. Freddino; the loving father to his five children, Laurie Nydell of Newtown; Gina Freddino of Milford; Carney L. Freddino IV of Honolulu, Hawaii; and Jon Freddino and Heather Freddino of Florida. He was a devoted brother to Robert M. Freddino and his wife, Karen, of Beacon Falls; Diane T. Freddino of Bridgeport; and Gary J. Freddino and his wife, Stacey, of Stratford. He was also the proud grandfather to Carney L. Freddino V of Yokohama, Japan, and Reilly Nydell of Newtown; and uncle to several nieces and nephews.

He served our country in the United States Air Force, fought in Vietnam in the 1st Cavalry Division, and retired from the Bridgeport Police Department in 1984.

Family and friends may gather for a memorial service on Saturday, January, 28, at noon in St Margaret's Shrine, 2523 Park Avenue, Bridgeport.
