Auditions For Sherman Players

SHERMAN — The Sherman Players will audition actors for the first play of the season, The Lady’s Not for Burning by Christopher Fry, on Sunday and Monday, February 13-14. The verse play set in the 1400s opens April 14 and will run through May 6.

This is the fourth time the director, Jane Farnol, and the producer, Irit Granger, have collaborated to stage a classic production for Sherman Players. In 1997, they presented George Bernard Shaw’s Arms and the Man; in 1998, Oscar Wilde’s An Ideal Husband; and, last season it was Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

The audition dates are Sunday, February 13, from 1 to 4 pm, and Monday, February 14, from 7 to 9 pm, at Sherman Playhouse, Routes 37 and 39 behind the Sherman Firehouse.

The script calls for eight men, ranging from ages 25 to 65, and three women, ages 20 to 65.

Actors interested in auditioning should call Ms Farnol at 860/927-3654 or Ms Granger, 860/354-9502.
