Louise B. Rowinski

Louise B. Rowinski, 88, formerly of Burlington Road, Harwinton, died January 31, at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center. She was the wife of the late Frank H. Rowinski, who died in 1990.

She was the aunt of Barbara Bobowick and Jane Fitzgerald of Sandy Hook.

Mrs Rowinski was born on February 5, 1911 in Bridgewater, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Dyda) Baske. She lived in this area most of her life. Mrs Rowinski was a 1928 graduate of New Milford High School and was employed by Waring Products in New Hartford for more than 27 years until her retirement in 1976.

Mrs Rowinski was a member of the Harwinton Sundowners and the Ladies Society. She was a communicant of Immaculate Heart of Mary Church.

Survivors also include one son, David Rowinski of Berkeley, Calif.; one brother, Joseph Baske and his wife, Theresa of New Milford; two sisters, Genevieve Randall of Glastonbury and Elizabeth Baske of New Milford; one brother-in-law, Stanley Rowinski and his wife, Helen of New Hampshire; two nephews, Dennis Randall of Southington and Charles Baske of Ninety-Six, S.C.; two other nieces, Joan Gibbons of New Milford and Donna Baske of Black Rock; seven great nephews and nieces; and five great-great nephews and nieces.

The funeral was held February 3 from the Gleeson Mortuary, 258 Prospect Street, Torrington, to Immaculate Heart of Mary Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial followed in St Peter Cemetery.
