Wellspring Series To Conclude
Wellspring Series To Conclude
Ginger Humeston, facilitator of the Creative Wellspring series, will lead the fifth and final session on February 15 at 9:30 am in the C.H. Booth Libraryâs meeting room.
The idea for the series evolved from a program Ms Humeston had presented for the Bridgeport Diocese.
âAs life continues to become more and more hectic, the same question is asked that was asked in the past: How do we keep centered?â Ms Humeston said.
She believes that women of all ages need to come together to learn from each other because they all share this common thread.
Ms Humestonâs presentation will be based on a discussion of the book A Gift from the Sea by Anne Morrow Lindbergh.
The inspiration for the series is expressed in the book, and is expressed as âhow to remain balanced no matter what centrifugal forces tend to pull one off center; how to remain strong no matter what shocks come at the periphery and tend to crack the hub of the wheel.â
This series represents the culmination of Ms Humestonâs lifelong quest to find ways for women to celebrate themselves despite the extraordinary demands of life today.
Ms Humeston feels that Ms Lindberghâs theme of how to discover creativity by learning to enjoy solitude may still be an anodyne to the pressures of our lives.
Ms Humeston invites participants to join her in imagining a walk down the beach.
Participants should bring their journals to keep a record of their experience.
