To the Editor:
On Monday night I attended the Commission on Aging meeting with hopes of witnessing a petition that I supported being given to the first selectman. The petition that I signed stated that I was in favor of freestanding building for the use of seniors and the growing needs of the senior population.
It was my horror that First Selectman Borst disrespectfully handed it back to me after I presented the petition to him! He didnât even look at the signatures! He just said that it wouldnât happen. Borst never addressed the possibility that those who signed the petition were entitled to their opinions. Instead he seemed annoyed by the whole thing. Over 200 voters opinions didnât matter!
