‘Follies’ Auditions

BRIDGEPORT — Auditions for the 9th annual Fairfield Follies performance will be held at Central High School, 1 Lincoln Boulevard, from 5 to 9 pm, Monday, February 4, through Wednesday February 6.

Follies brings together singers, dancers, and jazz musicians from high schools in the greater Bridgeport region and beyond for three months of rehearsals, culminating in a professionally staged review of Broadway musicals at The Klein Auditorium. This year’s performances are scheduled for May 16-18.

Candidates should be prepared to sing a song of their choosing and/or to perform a dance combination that will be taught at the audition. Singers should bring sheet music or instrumental recording and dancers their tap shoes.

Follies is produced by the Fairfield Follies Foundation, which aims to build bridges between inner-city and suburban youngsters while raising funds to support performing arts educations with scholarships and grants.
