Sue Keparutis

Loving Mother And Grandmother

Sue (Martinelli) Keparutis, 79, of Waterbury and Brookfield, died January 24. She was most recently a resident of the Alzheimer’s Resource Center in Plantsville. She was born in Waterbury on September 5, 1928, a daughter of Domenic and Rosaline (Gallicchio) Martinelli.

She is survived by her two daughters, Kristen Kennen of Sandy Hook and Karen McAllister of West Hartford; a daughter-in-law, Dee Wildman of Waterbury; four grandchildren, Ian McAllister, Sophie Kennen, Nicholas Wildman, and Lauren Heron. In addition to her children and grandchildren she leaves behind many siblings and their spouses, Frank and Ann Martinelli of Watertown, Vinnie and Maureen Martinelli of Wolcott, Angie Martinelli of Plantsville, Billy and Phyllis Martinelli, Gertrude Humiston, and Molly and Frank McCuster all of Waterbury, Dottie Houle of Bristol, Betty Sullivan of Marion; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her former husband, Alan Keparutis.

She was predeceased by her son, Bruce Wildman; and several siblings, Mary Ostroski, Margaret Martinelli, Charlie Martinelli, Nicholas Martinelli, and Vincenzo Martinelli.

Ms Keparutis was employed in several various capacities in her lifetime, including electronic assembly, a nursery school teacher for many years, and she also managed the stockroom for a small manufacturing company. She took great satisfaction in spending time with her children and grandchildren, and her many interests included doing crossword puzzles, reading, gardening, and bowling.

Her daughters would like to especially thank the staff of the Alzheimer’s Resource Center for their love and most compassionate care of their mother during the end of her life.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, February 3, at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway in Waterbury, from 1 to 3 pm.
