*Live music will continue every Friday night at The Inn at Newtown, the Main Street establishment that changed owners and name late last year. Newtown musician PETER OBRE will continue at the former Mary Hawley Inn with performances each Friday night beginning around 9 pm. There is no cover to get in, and the shows are presented in the Tap Room.

*Telephone lines will be tough to get through on February 19 when tickets for BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN AND THE E STREET BAND go on sale for a date at Hartford Civic Center on May 7. Not only will all the Connecticut fans be going crazy trying to get their Bruce tickets, but so will everyone else in New England — the band does not have any other shows scheduled on this current tour any further north than Hartford. Not only that, but New York and area fans will also be jamming the TicketMaster lines at the same time, as a five-night Madison Square Garden lineup in June will also be going on sale at the same time.

*VANILLA ICE is the big headliner this weekend at City Limits in Waterbury. He’ll be at the club on Saturday, February 5. Also new on the City Limits calendar are dates by MOLLY HATCHET, February 13; and W.A.S.P., March 9.

*FREE STYLE will be at Tuxedo Junction in Danbury next weekend, replacing the previously announced SCREAM on Friday, February 11.

Until next week, I’ll be seeing you... on the road.
