Mr and Mrs David Sturgess

Caroline Benjamin and David Sturgess were joined in marriage on April 10 at St Michael Church in Brent Knoll, England, with the Rev Stanley Price officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Stanley and Sarah Benjamin of Newtown.

The groom is the son of Peter and Kay Sturgess of Worcester, England.

The bride’s gown was of candlelight satin. She carried a bouquet of white and peach roses.

The matron of honor was Deborah Marques of Bristol, Conn. She wore a dress of burgundy velveteen and carried a bouquet of roses and lilies.

The bridesmaid was Miranda Sturgess of Bristol, England. She wore a black and white dress and carried a bouquet of lilies and roses.

The best man was Dominick Sturgess of London, England.

The usher was Jonathan Sturgess of Bristol, England.

The bride graduated from Newtown High School in 1978 and Quinnipiac College in 1997. She is employed as an occupational therapist.

The groom is a self-employed business and public relations consultant in Bristol, England.

Receptions were held following the ceremony at Battleborough Grange Hotel in Brent Knoll, Somerset, England, and on October 17 at Candlewood Inn in Brookfield.

Following a wedding trip to the Isle of Skye in Scotland, Mr and Mrs Sturgess are residing in Brent Knoll, Somerset, England.
