Stephen Jelacic
Stephen Jelacic, 77, of Huntington, died January 31 in Bridgeport Hospital.
He was the father of Gloria Milas of Sandy Hook.
Born in Croatia, he came to America in 1956 and resided in Bridgeport for 25 years, and then in Huntington for 18 years. He was a retired employee of Bridgeport Hospital.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Katherina (Bobinac) Jelacic; children, Mary Miller of Stratford, Peter Jelacic of Huntington, and Walter Jelacic of Shelton; nine grandchildren, Michael and Stephanie Jelacic, Daniel, Katrina and Benjamin Miller, Sarah and Joshua Milas, Stephen and Christopher Jelacic; and several relatives in Croatia.
The funeral was held on February 3 in New Life Christian Fellowship Church, 28 Hedgehog Road, Trumbull. Interment was in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull.
The Parente-Lauro Funeral Home, 559 Washington Avenue, Bridgeport, was in charge of arrangements.
