In January, two Brownie Troops took tours of Newtown Savings Bank. Girls in St Rose School’s Troop 596 and Newtown Service Unit Brownie Troop 656 learned how to make a deposit, how transactions are processed, how to check for counterfeit bills, and using money counting machines. The field trip fulfilled a requirement for the Penny Power Try-It, which the girls in Troop 596 were awarded at the end of the trip.
