Herbal Medicine For Beginners

BETHEL — Valerie Hoffman, a certified herbalist and the owner of Sunrise Herb Farm in Bethel, is offering a free class to readers of The Newtown Bee. “Herbal Medicine For Beginners” will take place Saturday, March 4, at 9:30 am, at Sunrise Herb Farm on Codfish Hill Road.

Information about the benefits of herbs in today’s world will be presented via slide shows and informational handouts. Prizes and refreshments will be part of the morning’s activities.

Ms Hoffman received her certification as an herbalist from Sage Mountain Herbal Center in Vermont. She has been featured in Redbook magazine and Martha Stewart Living, among many other publications. Ms Hoffman also appears regularly on local radio and television programs.

 All of the herbal remedies sold at Sunrise Herb Farm are formulated by Ms Hoffman, based on German Commission –E medical studies, backed by doctors, herbalists and scientists worldwide. Sunrise Herb Farm tinctures are made daily from fresh, hand-pressed, organic herbs.
