Two Warrants

Police report they arrested a local man on two warrants at about 9:49 am on January 31 at a business at 153 Sugar Street.

Police said they charged John Sikorski, 40, of 12 Park Lane in connection with two separate incidents that occurred in 2010.

On one warrant, police charged Sikorski with second-degree failure to appear in court, evading responsibility, failure to grant the right of way, improper use of a marker plate, and failure to have automotive insurance, police said.

On the other warrant, police charged Sikorski with second-degree failure to appear in court and driving with a suspended license.

Following processing, police released Sikorski on $2,000 bail for a February 14 court appearance.

South Main Street

Police said they stopped motorist John Rizzo, 38, of 124 Huntingtown Road about 12:33 pm on January 31 on South Main Street near Sand Hill Plaza because the 1998 Chevrolet pickup truck that he was driving had a broken windshield.

Following an investigation, police charged Rizzo with driving with a suspended vehicle registration and with failure to carry a driver’s license.

Rizzo is scheduled to appear in Danbury Superior Court on February 14 to answer the charges, according to police.
