The Rustic Grille Reopens

“We are very happy to be back.” That’s the word from The Rustic Grille owners Sandy and John Kantzas.

The restaurant in Monroe has been closed since August 8, 2011, when it fell victim to an arson fire targeted at a barbershop located in the same small retail complex. After receiving a long-awaited certificate of occupancy from the town of Monroe, The Rustic Grille is open and as lively as ever.

The renovation of the building was only supposed to take four months, but six months have gone by. Finally the doors are open. To celebrate, a grand reopening will be held on Wednesday, February 15, with special offerings throughout the day. The date marks six years since the original grand opening of The Rustic Grille.

“It has meant so much to us, to receive such strong support from our customers,” said John Kantzas. “It’s been very overwhelming and we want everyone to know how much we appreciate people coming back. Some have seen our open sign lit in the window and come in for dinner and give us hugs before they leave. It is a wonderful feeling to be back.”

The Rustic Grille has an improved menu, same great prices and increased hours. The hours of operation are Sunday and Monday, 7 am to 2 pm, Tuesday through Saturday, 7 am to 8:30 pm. Serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner, The Rustic Grille has seen an outpouring of support from loyal customers walking through the door as if their routine was never interrupted.
