Winter Guard Families Say Thanks

To the Editor:

We would like to express our thanks to the Newtown businesses, organizations, and residents who made our Pasta Supper and Silent Auction fundraiser in support of the Newtown High School Varsity Winter Guard’s quest to travel to Dayton, Ohio, for the Winter Guard International Championships such a success. To every individual or family who attended, many, many thanks for your support!

Thank you so much to Newtown United Methodist Church and Martha Millet for allowing us to hold the event in Rauner Hall, and for all the guidance and “how to” education, as well as for the attendance of so many NUMC members.

Thanks to the following businesses and individuals who donated gift certificates or items to our Supper and Silent Auction:

Judi De Wolfe (Tastefully Simple Consultant), Robert Findley, Richard Hungaski, Poland Springs Water, Lauren Hanulik, Jen Reilly, Asian Pacific, Big Y, Cork and Barrel, The Inn at Newtown, Mona Lisa, My Place, Newtown General Store, and Deli Newtown, Pizza Palace, Tambascio’s Pub 25, Panino’s, Stone River Grille, Stop & Shop, Subway, and Villa Restaurant

The 20 NHS Varsity Winter Guard families are very grateful to everyone who attended the Pasta Supper and Silent Auction as we look to raise the $12,000 necessary to travel to Dayton in April. We look forward to the continued support during our upcoming Bottle and Can Drive and Shake-a-Can Fundraisers.

Sincerely,

Joann Bissonnette and Robbin Chaber Allen
