How long have you been in business? We opened just before last Thanksgiving. We opened our business here for the same reason we moved to Newtown: we love the community and appreciate being able to offer people something a little bit unique in terms of our service and product lines.

What is the service your business offers? This is our first family small business venture. While we are primarily a boutique wine store, we offer a full line of other liquors and spirits, as well as a growing selection of popular and craft beers. We had our eye on this location for some time and wanted to open a new business so we could do something brand-new and make it our own from the decor to the selection.

What would you most like Bee readers to know about your business? We want them to know that we are indeed open for business. We've had many customers comment that from Route 25, it looks like we are closed because the tinted front windows are so dark. And while we have regular wine tastings every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, our "bar" is always open and we invite customers to sit down anytime for some conversation about their favorite beverages. We always ask everyone what they prefer, and frequently offer them ideas about new alternatives to their old favorites that they might want to try.

Are you hosting any near-future promotions or events? We're planning a big pre-Valentine's Day in-store event February 11 featuring some of our more taboo beverages. We say taboo because of the provocative names of some of these products, which can make fun and interesting Valentine's day accompaniments.
