Landscape Design Program For Garden Club

Sara U. McCool, the owner of Ungemack-McCool Landscape Associates, will be giving a talk on landscape design at the next meeting of The Town & Country Garden Club of Newtown. The public is invited to join club members for the presentation, which is scheduled for Wednesday, February 9, at 7:30 pm.

Mrs McCool has been active in the landscape profession for over 36 years. The fourth generation in a family business that was started in 1935, she has owned the business since 1991.

Mrs McCool has taught in the adult education programs in Oxford and Westport. Presently she teaches courses on landscaping, perennial gardens and pruning at the Darien YWCA each spring.

After attending Roger Williams College in Bristol, R.I., she completed programs at Brooklyn Botanical Garden and Bartlett Arboretum.

Her program for the garden club will be at Newtown Senior Center (the Multi-Purpose Building), at 14 Riverside Road in Sandy Hook.
