Felice Bennett-Lundy

Loving Mother And Grandmother

Felice Bennett-Lundy, 70, of Sandy Hook, died January 29, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born January 30, 1940, in Bronx, N.Y., the daughter of Andrew and Lida Perner.

She is survived by her daughters, Tiffanie Bennett of Newtown and Tara Kortze, and her husband John, of Sandy Hook; two granddaughters; and her ex-husband and lifelong friend, Brian Bennett of Southbury.

Mrs Lundy spent her early years in Hollywood, Calif., and then moved to New York City to start her family. In 1970 she moved to Florida where she resided in St Petersburg and more recently in Largo, working in the accounts payable department at Sun Paints and Coatings, before moving to Connecticut in 2006 to spend more time with her children and grandchildren.

An active member of the Newtown Newcomers & Neighbors Club, she enthusiastically provided restaurant reviews to members. Mrs Lundy also enjoyed crafting with her grandchildren, playing bridge, and being with her friends. She will be remembered for her love of “Tweety.”

A memorial gathering will take place at The Honan Funeral Home, 58 Main Street, Newtown, Friday, February 4, from 4 to 7 pm.

Memorial donations may be made to the Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut at www.regionalhospicect.org.
