Andrea Schipper to Richard Ando

Cynthia Zvanut and Jim Schipper announce the engagement of their daughter, Andrea Schipper, to Richard Ando, son of Carole and Ron Ando of Sandy Hook.

The future bride graduated from Francis Howell High School in St Charles, Mo., in 1986, and she received a degree in biology from St Louis University. She is employed as a sales representative for New Brunswick Scientific Company and resides in Oakland, Calif.

The future bridegroom attended Newtown schools and is a 1986 graduate of Newtown High School. He earned a bachelor of science degree from the University of Vermont, and then completed the PhD program at the University of Vermont receiving a doctorate in biochemistry. He is currently a technical sales consultant for Beckman Coulter, Inc, and resides in Oakland, Calif.

An October wedding is planned.
