BRISTOL – Despite bringing a smaller team, the Newtown Torpedoes boosted their winning streak to three with a 341-268 win over Bristol last weekend.

An early indication of a solid across-the-board performance came early in the meet with all the medley relay teams winning their individual age group events. This year’s team captains – Emma Atkinson, Jacks Van Waalwijk, Anthony Fiore and Peter Griffiths – all assisted in the relay victories and went on to contribute significantly to the final score, coming up with six individual wins between them.

Sarah Heminway (15 and over) was a triple winner. Double winners included Shannon Kiss, Abby Fagerholm, Maggie Atkinson, Leah Barrett, Jaclyn VanWaalwijk, Sarah Hemingway, Eric Fiore, AJ Kiss, and Anthony Fiore.

The Torpedoes will be in Plainville on Saturday for their next meet. Warmups are slated for 10 am.
