Eddison To Lecture At Garden Show

HARTFORD — Master gardener and Newtown resident Sydney Eddison will be one of the guest speakers during the 23rd Annual Connecticut Flower & Garden Show. The event will be at The CT Expo Center from Thursday, February 26, through Sunday, February 29.

The show offers lectures, booth displays and vendors for gardening novices to horticulture experts. There will be twenty beautifully landscaped gardens, aisles filled with exhibitor booths containing everything from fertilizers and soils to gazebos and greenhouses and everything in between. The wide varieties of plants include orchids, herbs, fresh cut flowers, violets and many more.

There are also seminars, presented by Sovereign Bank New England, hosted by well-known horticulturists to help teach and inform audiences of their expertise. The seminars and lectures are all included with the purchase of a show ticket.

Ms Eddison will offer her program, “A Perennial Border for All Seasons,” on Saturday at noon.

Show hours are Thursday, February 26, 10 am to 6 pm; Friday and Saturday, February 27-28, 10 am to 9 pm; and Sunday, February 29, 10 am to 5 pm.

Tickets are $12 for adults, and $4 for ages 7-12. Admission is free for ages 6 and under. Parking is an additional $5 per vehicle.
