Gail G. Birchall

Gail G. Birchall, 57, of Lakemere Drive, Southbury, died January 30 at Saint Mary’s Hospital from melanoma, skin cancer.

Mrs Birchall was born December 20, 1946, in Washington Depot, the daughter of the late Eleanor and Elmer Gunnarson.

Mrs Birchall worked for Harmon Publishing for 15 years, and lived in Charlotte, N.C., for two years where she was first diagnosed with melanoma. On her return to Southbury she worked as a salesperson for West Chevrolet, and she was working at Newtown Car Care up until her death.

Among her survivors are a daughter, Melissa Corbin and her husband William of Bloomfield, two sons, Robert Birchall of Bristol and Paul Birchall of Naugatuck, as well as two granddaughters, Lisa Stromsky and Sarah Corbin of Bloomfield.

A memorial service for Mrs Birchall was held February 4 at the Otis Residence, 302 Berkshire Road, Southbury. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 1004, Meriden CT 06450. The Southbury Funeral Home of Munson-Lovetere was entrusted with the arrangements.
