Joan Cogswell
Joan Cogswell of Blakely, Penn., formerly of Newtown, died February 2 at the age of 52.
She was born in the Bronx, N.Y., on December 5, 1951, daughter of the late Charles and Dorothy (Reynolds) Cogswell. She was a graduate of Newtown High School, Class of 1970.
Joan worked in the Credit Department at Ethan Allen for more than 25 years.
She was a beloved sister and will be sadly missed by her family.
Joan is survived by her siblings: Dorothy E. Cogswell of Newtown, Catherine F. Coer of Pennsylvania, Elaine Cogswell of Blakely, Penn., and Charles A. Cogswell of Shelton; three nieces, two great-nieces and one great-nephew. Her mother Dorothy Cogswell predeceased her on January 29.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for both Joan and her mother Dorothy at St Joseph Church, Danbury on Friday, February 6, at 10 am.
Burial will follow in St Mary Cemetery, Ridgefield.
The family was scheduled to receive friends on Thursday, February 5, between the hours of 5 and 8 pm, at the Cornell Memorial Home, 247 White Street, Danbury.
Memorial contributions in the memory of Joan Cogswell may be made to the charity of oneâs choice.
