Louis Sahley

Louis Sahley, 80, of Monroe, beloved husband of Jetta (Flint) Sahley, died January 30 at St Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport. Mr Sahley was born on February 16, 1923, in Danbury, a son of the late Joseph and Nazrie Sahley.

Besides his wife of Monroe, he is survived by three sons, Louis Sahley and his wife Mary of Sandy Hook, Joseph Sahley and his wife Cindy of Trumbull, and Ahmed Sahley and his wife Jennifer of Oxford; two daughters, Jennifer Sandin and her husband William of Shelton, and Johna Wills and her husband Gary of Monroe; a brother, Samuel Sahley of Danbury; and three sisters, Mary Ann Denise, Julie Hammond and her husband, Sam, and Tina Wilgam, all of Florida. He also leaves ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

He grew up in Danbury, where he attended Danbury schools and graduated from Abbott Technical School. He was US Army veteran, serving during World War II. He was a resident of Monroe for 46 years, where he was an avid gardener.

Funeral services were held February 3 in the Spadaccino Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Route 111, Monroe. Interment followed in Wooster Cemetery in Danbury.
