Susan Dran

Susan (Guzik) Dran, 82, a Bethel resident for more than 50 years, died January 31 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the widow of Leo J. Dran.

Mrs Dran was born in Danbury on September 9, 1921, daughter of the late Andrew and Anna (Lawor) Guzik.

She leaves two sons, Joseph Dran of Newtown and Michael Dran of Bethel; a daughter, Patricia VanAuken of Indiana; two brothers, Nicholas Guzik of Bethel and Matthew Guzik of Indiana; and two grandsons.

She was employed at Bard Parkers in Danbury for several years until she retired. She was a member of St Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church.

Funeral services were held February 5 from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury, and at St Mary’s Russian Orthodox Church.

Burial took place in St Mary’s Russian Orthodox Cemetery.
