The Kennedy Center’s Palm & Able resale shop is planning a special one-day sale this weekend at Butcher’s Best Country Market.

Located at 125 South Main Street, Butcher’s Best will host Palm & Able for a Pre-Valentine’s Day sale on Saturday, February 8, from 10 am to 2 pm.

This pop-up will feature a curated selection of jewelry, handbags, Kennedy Center original artwork, and a few specialty items, set up within the market that offers fresh and local meats, seafood, and prepared foods.

The one-day pop-up is an offshoot of Palm & Able, a Kennedy Center social enterprise employing people of all abilities. The name, Palm & Able, is a nod to abilities of the people served by the Trumbull-based not-for-profit and honors the nearly 70-year legacy of the Kennedy Center. Founder Evelyn Kennedy lived on Palm Street in Bridgeport, where she hosted the first parent meetings that led to the creation of the Kennedy Center, increasing opportunities for people with disabilities statewide.

The center provides vocational, recreational, and therapeutic supports to people with disabilities and special needs. Learn more at TheKennedyCenterInc.org. All sales from the pop-up will directly support the ongoing mission to create jobs and enhance the community.

For additional information concerning the pop-up shop, contact Wendy Bloch at 203-332-4535 extension 2305 or wbloch@kennedyctr.org.
