Pets: We have a 7-year-old golden retriever named Horizon.

How long have you lived in Newtown? I have lived in Newtown for 14 years.

What do you like to do in your free time? Anything related to the outdoors, music festivals, travel, kayaking, and hiking. You will find us at the beach whenever we can get there. We also enjoy walking our dog anywhere in Newtown.

What is your favorite book? The book Everything I Know About Business I Learned from the Grateful Dead.

What is your favorite travel destination? So far – St Martin, but many more to come.

What is the best part about Newtown? The breweries, restaurants, and people. When we first moved to Newtown, there wasn’t as many restaurants and now there are many choices.

What organizations are you part of in Newtown? For five years now I’ve had the pleasure of being involved with Rotary Club of Newtown where I spent two years as the club treasurer, two years as president, and continue to be an active member. Currently, I am the assistant governor for our district, which helps to support four Rotary Clubs: Newtown, Danbury, Ridgefield, and Tribury Rotary Clubs. The assistant governors’ primary role is to assist the governor with the district administration of their assigned area Rotary Clubs, helping to ensure their effectiveness as Rotary Clubs. The Rotary motto is “Service Above Self” and it aligns with exactly how we think and live our life. It’s all about helping others when you have what you need. Prior to being involved with Rotary, I was a member of the Republican Town Committee, I was an elected official on the Board of Education from 2013-2015.

Who has been the greatest influence in your life? My wife.

Who is your favorite musical artist? Grateful Dead.

What is your favorite TV show? The Office.

What is your favorite movie? The Shawshank Redemption.

What is your favorite food? Anything with shrimp.

What is the greatest piece of advice you have ever been given? Work hard, play hard, travel, and reap the rewards!

What is something you cannot live without? Grateful Dead live concert music.

What is your proudest accomplishment? Completing 129 days living outdoors with 15 other people while traveling through the back country of Colorado, Arizona, Mexico, and Baja, California. Best experience of my life!

If you could travel to the past or future, which would you choose and why? For those of you who remember The Jetsons, that is where I would travel. Funny thing is it was made in 1962 (before I was born) even though it was in the past it resembles the future so I would say I would travel in the past and the future.
