Garner Inmate Incident Investigated

State police report that an unidentified inmate at the state’s Garner Correctional Institution on Nunnawauk Road allegedly threw some feces onto a correction officer at the high security prison.

State police said they learned of the incident at 12:38 pm February 4. The correction officer was not injured in the incident,  state police said.

State police said they are investigating the case. The charge in such a case may involve assault on a correction officer.
