Genealogy Workshop Series

In Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — Have you ever wanted to research your family history but didn’t know where to start? The Fairfield Historical Society is sponsoring a series of five workshops on consecutive Saturdays from 10 am to noon for beginning genealogy.

The series begins on February 28 and will be led by retired teacher and Fairfield Historical Society volunteer who will provide the basic information needed to get started on your family tree.

The schedule is as follows: February 28, Introduction to Genealogy; March 6, Local Records; March 13, Land and Probate Records; March 20, Federal Records; and March 27, State Records.

The cost of each session is $15 for members and $20 for nonmembers. Registering for all five sessions is $60 for members and $80 for nonmembers.

The workshops will be held at the Fairfield Historical Society, 636 Old Post Road. Reservations and prepayment are required. For more information and to reserve a space, call 259-1598.
