George Louis Jennings

George Louis Jennings, 78, of Brewster, Mass., died suddenly at Cape Cod Hospital, on February 6. He was the brother of Louise Esposito of Newtown.

He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Audrey (Hanford), and a son, Michael, both of Brewster; a daughter, Diane of Easthampton, Mass.; two other sisters, Edna Vandermark of Dexter, Maine, and Alice Schofield of Springfield, Vt.; and several nieces and nephews. His brothers David, Bill, and Arthur Jennings, a sister, Ruby Fako, and his parents, Arthur and Sadie Jennings, predeceased him.

Born June 20, 1925, in Danbury, he attended Danbury Public Schools for eight years. He attended State Trade School in Danbury for three years to learn carpentry.

Mr Jennings lived in Danbury for 29 years, Bethel for five years, Brookfield for 25 years, and Brewster, Mass., for 19 years. He was a carpenter and builder, working the last 19 years with his son.

He served in the US Navy during World War II from 1942 to 1945. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing, and being with his family and friends.

A funeral service was scheduled to be held in Nickerson Funeral Home, 77 Eldridge Parkway, Orleans, Mass., on Friday, February 13, at 10 am.

Burial to be announced.
