Join A Celebration For CT Winesâ Silver Anniversary
SOUTHBURY â Dolce Heritage will host a two-day wine and culinary festival on Saturday and Sunday, February 27-28, celebrating the 25th year of winemaking in Connecticut.
Wine connoisseurs of all levels are invited to The Silver Grape Wine Festival, a two-day celebration to include wine tasting of artisan and estate-bottled wines of Connecticut and their wine-making cousins from around the world who are joining in Connecticutâs celebration, including the United States, Europe and Australia.
There will also be two wine pairing dinner extravaganzas: The Big Night, themed after a popular indie film of the same name, and The Silver Grape Award Dinner, where medals will be presented for Connecticutâs best red, white and dessert wines.
Dolce Heritage has joined forces with the Connecticut Farm Winery Council to mark the 25th anniversary milestone.
In addition to wine and gourmet food, connoisseurs with an appreciation for fine cigars will be invited to relax and enjoy a smoke while sampling fine wines in a special smoking room. Dolce is also home to a smoke shop with a walk-in humidor featuring some of the rarest cigars, including those imbued with Louis the 13th Cognac.
Door prizes include two grand prize vacation drawings of a four-night stay for two at world class Dolce properties: PGA National Resort and Spa in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, and Dolce Fregate in St. Cyr-sur-Mer, France, that boasts its own vineyard. American Airlines air transportation is also included.
Daily event tickets start at $45 per person. There is also an overnight package at $295 for two.
Dolce Heritage is at 522 Heritage Road, a few miles from I-84 Exit 15. For reservations and information about the Silver Grape Wine Festival call 264-8200 or visit www.heritage.dolce.com.
