Pancakes For Shrove Tuesday
St Johnâs Episcopal Church on Washington Avenue in Sandy Hook will hold its 46th Annual Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday, March 7, from 5 to 7:30 pm in the church undercroft.
The supper will bring back the traditional homemade corned beef hash made by church member Bruce Moulthrop, as well as pancakes, all-natural sausage from The Egg & I farm in New Milford, applesauce, and beverages. Tickets, available at the door, are $7 for adults, $3 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children ages 4 and under.
The congregation will be selling gift packs of their secret pancake mix with maple syrup from McLaughlin Vineyards. Tickets also will be sold for raffle baskets.
There is ample parking behind the church in both the upper and lower community parking lots.
