Art Contest For NHS Seniors

The Newtown Woman’s Club, GFWC, Inc, is inviting all Newtown High School seniors to participate in a statewide art contest.

Awards, presented on the basis of artistic promise, will be Best In Show, first, second and third places, and honorable mention. Prizes will be awarded at the sole discretion of the state judges. Some monetary prizes may be available as well.

This annual contest will be held Saturday, March 24, through Sunday, March 25, at the Alzheimer’s Resource Center of Connecticut in Southington.

Students are encouraged to submit their artwork in the categories of Painting, Drawing, Graphic Design, Photography and Sculpture.
