Rubber And Glue

To the Editor:

I was delighted and flattered to see such a thoughtful and articulate response to my letter from the January 26 edition of The Bee from Stan Rajczewski, Jr, of Sandy Hook. Mr Rajczewski and I will probably never agree on matters of foreign policy, but I admire him for his love of country and his commitment to participating in such an important dialogue. If only more our citizens took such a keen interest in the important affairs of our time, rather than say the “shocking deaths” of former Playboy models, I am certain our republic would be stronger, healthier, and maybe even more harmonious.

So in the spirit of continuing the dialogue, I beg your indulgence for one more response to my rival in print. Mr Rajczewski, Jr, if you are reading, after careful reflection upon your intelligent defense of Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity, and your open-minded and complex characterization of everyone you consider to be a liberal, the most appropriate response is to say that I’m rubber and you’re glue; whatever you say bounces off me and sticks to you.
