Lenten Luncheons

MONROE — Stepney Baptist Church will be serving lunch to the community through its 20th annual Lenten Luncheon program at the church located at 423 Main Street in Monroe.

The luncheons will be held at 12:15 pm each Thursday during Lent, beginning February 26 and continuing through April 1, and will consist of homemade soup, sandwich, beverage, and dessert. Following the meal there will be a short devotional message. Donation for the meals is $5.50; all money collected will be given to the Hopeline Women’s Center.

Reservations are not necessary but can be made by contacting the church office at 268-9680. In case of inclement weather, listen to radio station WICC (AM600) or call the church office.
