Michael George Kondrat, 57, loving husband of Kathleen Agnew Kondrat, died suddently of a brain aneurysm at Westchester Medical Center on February 15.
Mr Kondrat was born in Bridgeport on January 3, 1947, son of Ethel Kondrat and the late Michael Kondrat.
He was a lifetime area resident, had lived in Newtown while he was growing up, and attended Newtown High School.
For the last five years, Mr Kondrat owned and operated the Colorado Brewery and Steakhouse in downtown Danbury.
All his life, Michael was a champion of the less fortunate and while operating the restaurant, helped raised well over $400,000 for local schools, charities and individuals in need. The restaurant closed on February 15.
In addition to his wife and mother, he will be sadly missed by his son, Michael Kenneth Kondrat, of Brewster, N.Y.; his daughter, Issa Juliet Blowers, of Ludlow, Vt.; his sister and brother-in-law, Pat and Jim Purcell of North Haven; his nephew Glen Zuklie of Newtown; and a multitude of other family members and friends.
Services will be private for family members only.
There will be no calling hours.
