At Waldorf School
   The Housatonic Valley Waldorf School will offer a Waldorf-inspired summer day camp this year for children ages 4 to 12.
The camp will run for five weeks, from July 12 to August 13.
Each week, which focuses on different themes, can be taken separately or together.
This yearâs themes are Farm Life, Gardening, Animals, International Cultures and Circus.
The camp will be operated at the schoolâs Newtown campus.
The nature-arts camp provide an atmosphere where children are engaged, entertained, and introduced to a host of fun and inviting activities. The schedule features a healthy balance of stimulating and relaxing activities, indoors and out, with an emphasis on creativity, the arts and nature. Activities include painting, hiking, swimming, hand spinning, cooking, singing, sculpture, games and more.
The Waldorf educational philosophy, which fosters learning through head, heart and hands, is followed throughout.
Tuition is $250 per week with a ten percent sibling discount. Application forms are available from the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School at 364-1113.
