NYS Dinner Dance Slated For March 13

Newtown Youth Services is gearing up for its Fifth Annual Dinner Dance and Auction on March 13 at 7 pm.

This year’s event will again be held at the Fireside Inn, with great food and live entertainment by the very popular vocal/instrumental group Third Shift.

Other activities will include a live auction and a silent auction — always highlights of the evening — and a special presentation about the past 25 years that Newtown Youth Services has served the community.  Once again, this major fundraising event will be coordinated by Bob Tendler, and Claudia Coopersmith will design the decorations.

Proceeds from the dinner dance and auctions will help to fund the many activities and programs sponsored by NYS, including the Job Bank (for ages 13–17), Super Sitters classes, New Moms Support Groups, After School Programs at the elementary and middle schools, and three youth advisory groups.

Newtown Youth Services invites one and all to come, have an enjoyable evening with friends and neighbors, and support the agency that supports Newtown youth.  Tickets are still $40 apiece and may be purchased by calling 270-4335 (Youth Services) or 426-5679 (Bob Tendler Real Estate).  Tables of ten may also be reserved.  For more information, call Anita at 270-4335 or Joy at 426-9637.
