Pancakes For Shrove Tuesday

St John’s Episcopal Church on Washington Avenue in Sandy Hook will hold its 46th Annual Pancake Supper on Shrove Tuesday, February 24, from 5 to 7:30 pm, in the church undercroft.

(Please note last week’s edition of The Newtown Bee had the date incorrect.)

The supper will bring back the traditional homemade corned beef hash made by church member Bruce Moulthrop, as well as pancakes, real maple syrup from McLaughlin Vineyard in Sandy Hook, all-natural sausage from The Egg & I Farm in New Milford, plus applesauce and beverages.

Suggested donation is $6.50 for adults, $3.50 for ages 3-12, and free for children ages 2 and under.

The congregation will be selling gift packs of their secret pancake mix with maple syrup from McLaughlin Vineyards. Tickets also will be sold for raffle baskets.

There is ample parking behind the church in both the upper and lower community parking lots.
